Fairwinds Christian School is a ministry of Fairwinds Baptist Church. It is owned and operated by Fairwinds Baptist Church. We exist to serve families that are interested in a Christian Education.

Founded in 1972, Fairwinds Christian School serves a diverse student population from the New Castle County area. Our program begins with a 3 year old pre-kindergarten program and goes through 12th grade.

Fairwinds Christian School has a commitment to quality education. Foundationally, Fairwinds Christian School strives to establish in the minds of students that the Bible is the final authority for life.

Most students are Delaware residents and are transported to the school by the parents. The school, church, soccer field, and three softball fields are located on a fifteen-acre plot in Bear, Delaware.

Fairwinds Christian School is a member of the Delaware Association of Christian Schools.

Faculty

All faculty members are born-again believers and most are members of Fairwinds Baptist Church. They are carefully selected based on education, experience, ability, and integrity. The teachers at Fairwinds Christian School are committed to Christian education, have a sincere love for children, and are devoted to the Lord Jesus Christ.

Curriculum

Fairwinds Christian School is a traditional school with grades Pre-K 3 year old to 12th grade. All of the subjects are teacher instructed and guided. Our school provides a college preparatory curriculum using primarily A Beka and Bob Jones text materials.

Parent Teacher Fellowship

The FCS Parent Teacher Fellowship offers parents the opportunity to support our school and to be actively involved in their child's education.

Student Activities

Students can participate in a variety of student activities such as inter-scholastic sports, drama, music, and yearbook. A full-scale drama or musical is presented twice each year.

Sports

Available sports for grades 6-12 include junior varsity and varsity levels. Current sports include volleyball, soccer, basketball, and cheerleading.

Computers

The computer lab offers training in computer applications, keyboarding, and computer literacy. Students are taught under a Microsoft Windows environment using modern software. Currently there are about 100 computers in the school for student's and teacher's use. Students of Fairwinds Christian School meet the requirements for Delaware computer literacy by 8th grade.
